I am a stay at home homeschooling mom who was blessed to learn about a company called Plexus. In Jan. 2014 I decided to take control of my health and lose weight. So I started my Plexus journey and in 5 months I lost 50 lbs and 30+ inches. This blog is about my personal journey to health. I am so thankful for Plexus for giving my smile back. Let me help you on your journey to wellness, happiness and financial freedom. You can learn more about Plexus on my website and at www.plexusslim.com/ethansharo.

Heritage Village Field Trip

Learning in the RAIN!!! Today we went on a field trip and it stared pouring down rain. We still had a GREAT time. I wished we took field trips like this when I was younger.

We learned how school kids in the 1800's were taught. It is so fascinating to learn about our history. In the 1800's a school room was full of several grades, not just one. Today the kids had to write their ABC's and 123's on a little chalk board at their desk in an old school house. I took pics but they didn't come out well. I couldn't use flash because they said it ruins the artifacts. The teacher also explained to the kids that timeouts were used for disciple problems. If a boy got in trouble they would have to put their nose in a circle on the wall and if that didn't work he would be moved to the girls side of the room.
The kids got to see a bank, a general store, a Lawyer's office, a Dentist office, a hotel, a middle class home, a printing press, and a few other things. It is amazing how much things have changed.
