We rung in the new year by watching the countdown on TV. The kids enjoyed the confetti poppers, popits and blow horns. Ella fell asleep about 30 minutes before midnight. After we made a huge mess with the confetti we quickly picked it up and went to bed!! :) Then after we woke up we made our traditional soft fried potatoes and ate some black eye peas for lunch. We usually eat those at midnight but decided not to this year. Ron and I were ready for bed...it's a bummer getting old! :(
